After more than two decades in the restaurant business in Mexico, first in a family-owned business and later as a partner and manager with two well-known Mexican restaurant chains in various resorts and major urban centers, Pépé Hinojosa and his wife Tina joined forces with a local restauranteur, Bill to establish the Guadalajara Grill, Charlie’s Bar and Piojo Café in San Antonio, Texas in 1991.
Since then we have strived to remain a fun and people-oriented place which serves quality authentic Mexican food, seafood, steaks and specialty beverages, including a variety of handmade margaritas, at affordable prices in a gracious, informal atmosphere.
All of our menu items are prepared from scratch daily with the freshest ingredients and using genuine chiles and spices from Mexico. We use only fine quality olive oil in our sautéed recipes and canola oil in our fried food preparation, including our outstanding refried beans.
Our goal is to provide warm hospitality and personal service in colorful surroundings. Offering an environment of ethnic culture, music, great food and good times is our commitment to our customer.
