San Antonio River Walk

Did you know that one third to one half of people who are homeless are employed? However, they are underemployed. They do not make enough to meet the high costs of living. Many employers won’t hire someone who is not already employed. At Haven for Hope, the Education/Vocation Department aims to assist the homeless community by providing GED classes, job training and skills development, and job placement assistance.

The River Walk Lucky Duck race, produced by the Paseo del Rio Association, will benefit the “Hire Haven” program. For as little as $5, YOU can make a difference in the life of a homeless individual, and have a chance to win GREAT Prizes!

Join the Paseo del Rio Association for a family-friendly day of food, music and fun at The River Walk Lucky Duck Race & Festival!

Watch as 10,000 rubber ducks race through the San Antonio River Walk. A few lucky ducks will win grand prizes! Proceeds from Duck Sales benefit the Paseo del Rio Association and Haven for Hope, a new homeless campus in Downtown San Antonio. Participants adopt a duck for a chance to win great prizes.

You can adopt your duck for $5 each at: http://www.thesanantonioriverwalk.com/events/river-walk-lucky-duck-race

The Paseo del Rio Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to promote, protect and preserve the San Antonio River Walk.
